You can carry Mortara Holter in a pocket or pouch worn around your neck or waist. This monitor has wires that connect the device to your chest. Keep a diary of what activities you do while wearing the monitor, and how you feel. After 24 - 48 hours, you will return the monitor to your doctor's office. Your doctor review the tracings and see if there have been any abnormal heart rhythms.
You can wear a Post-Event recorder or carry it in your pocket. This monitor does not have wires that connect the device to the chest. To start the recorder when you feel a symptom, you hold it to your chest. A Post-Event recorder only records what happens after you start it. It may miss a heart rhythm problem that occurs before and during the onset of symptoms.
Your monitor does not summon physicians nor emergency assistance and does not replace direct communication with your healthcare provider. If you have medical concerns or health symptoms, contact your doctor or healthcare professional. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.
